Sew*Quilt*Share November Meeting

As Sew*Quilt*Share gathered for one final day of sewing in 2015,
the focus of our meeting was to complete unfinished projects. It's always a good feeling to start
the New Year with a clean slate...so here's a quick look at what happened.

Several women decided to start new quilt projects! This pattern is the
Strippy Flannel Baby Quilt. You can find the free pattern posted on the tab
to your right.

Several projects were in various stages of the machine quilting.
In the photo above you can see how we use painter's tape as a tool.
If you haven't tried it yet, painter's tape sticks to fabric, but does not leave a residue.
And, it saves the time of marking. Does it get any better than that?

Several were binding their quilts. Love those polka dots!

And others were spending their time sewing cloth feminine pads. If you are
unfamiliar with the cloth feminine pad project you can read about it here.

I'm also happy to share that in November,  group members donated
fabric and thread for women in Haiti to make lap quilts.
Each quilt will be sewn by hand.

May you always Sew in Peace!
