About Sew*Quilt*Share

If you are a reader of this blog
you may have noticed posts that refer to a sewing group called
Sew*Quilt*Share.

We are an informal group of women that gathers monthly
to use our creative talents to support the mission outreach of our local church.
Our group began in the fall of 2012 with two women who shared
a dream to make a difference in our community and beyond.

The ladies of Sew*Quilt*Share are currently sewing baby quilts
to offer hope to young women in our community dealing
with unplanned pregnancies. The quilts are stitched with love
and donated with a prayer that God's love would
wrap around each precious little one.

Quilt kits which include fabric, batting, and instructions are provided
at our monthly meetings. Supplies are purchased with funds
donated by the Mission Board of our church.

We try to choose patterns that sew together quickly.
Most of the patterns we use are available to download for free
on the right side of this website. We hope the free patterns will
inspire others to bless those in need.

We also sew cloth feminine pads that are both washable and reusable
to bless school girls in Haiti. This gift of love directly affects the opportunity
for hundreds of precious young women in Haiti to receive a Christian Education.

As we share our passion for sewing, we develop new skills
and most importantly, we develop connections to one another.
We hope learning about Sew*Quilt*Share will inspire you
to make a difference in your community.
